High School
First Sunday of the Month Bake Sales
Our March and April “First Sunday of the Month Bake Sales” have been a great
success, thanks to the congregational support and generous donations! The dates
for our final two bake sales are May 4 and June 1. Anyone wishing to donate
homemade items please have your goodies to church by 9:00am the morning of the
bake sale.
Bible Study
The next High School Bible Study will be at the Jacobson home on
May 6 at 7:00pm. Following that, the final date until next school year will be
May 20 at the Pleming home. Please be sure to check the Sunday church bulletin
to confirm that week’s time and location, or just give Kari or Whitney a call
with any questions!
Thank You
A big thanks to Kari Schmidt and Jeff Emerson for offering their home for the
Mission Trip Garage Sale. Gloria Dei members came through again with a large
amount of items donated to the sale. The youth raised over $1,000 to be put
towards the trip. Thrivent will be generously adding to this amount. Thank You
Gloria Dei! – Thank You Thrivent! – Thank You Kari and Jeff!
Key West Mission Trip
Jake Bartz, Zach Bartz, Alex Chase, Kari Jacobson, Kristian Jacobson, Bryant
Johnson, Brian Leimer, Andrea Morgan, Vivian Pham, Whitney Pleming, and Rachel
Proffitt along with their sponsors, Kelly and Terry Shriner, have been working
hard and anxiously awaiting their mission trip scheduled July 13-18, 2008. They
would like to thank everyone for their bighearted support and prayers to attend
this Lutheran sponsored mission experience.
Middle School
Wednesday Nights
The last night of confirmation and youth group for this school year will be May
7.
Mothers Day
The Middle School youth will be honoring all Moms in the congregation by handing
out flowers after both Sunday services on May 11. Please signup on the youth
board to designate when you will be available to volunteer for either the early
or late service.
End of School Party
Curt and Sandra Renard are hosting an end of the school year
party on May 25 after the 11:00 service. Pizza will be provided, but please
bring a 2-liter drink and a snack to share. Come and celebrate the start of
summer with basketball, volleyball, and other fun activities!
All Youth
Graduation Reception
Graduates, we would like to honor you with a reception on May 11 between the
8:30 and 11:00 services. Please fill out an information form and return it to
the office. The forms can be found either in the office or on the youth board.
Dillon Dollars
These are being sold the second and third Sundays of the month in
Fellowship Hall A. Jackie Proffitt has kindly offered to manage the Sunday table
sales, but you may also purchase Dillon Dollars in the office during regular
business hours. Dillons gives back 4% of every dollar you spend for our youth
activities.
Youth Committee Meeting
All parents and youth are encouraged to attend the monthly Youth Committee
Meetings scheduled for the first Monday of each month at 7:00pm. The May meeting
is scheduled for Monday the 5th. Come bring your new, fresh ideas to help
enhance our youth programs!
St. Paul’s Breakfast
The next date for St. Paul’s Breakfast is Saturday, May 31. Please check the
bulletin board for signups and more information.

and sign-ups!
