Pages and Sages Book Club has been reading Until We Reach Home by Lynn Austin during February. Discussion will be March 6 at 10:00 a.m. at the Spice Merchant. Since this book is about Swedish immigrants, it may be an interesting discussion as we have such a rich cultural past in our church.

During March, the book club will be reading Sin Boldly: A Field Guide for Grace by Cathleen Falsani.

Book selections for the book club can be found in the church library on the north wall. The books are available on the honor system - take, read, and return.

At the Women's Health Retreat in January, the service project was to assist the Harbor House shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence. The contributions totaled $68 in cash and approximately $370 in items for the center. Thanks to all who helped with that project.

 

The Women's Ministry Committee was formed to support and encourage women to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and other women of the church, community and the world.

The purpose of the committee will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Support the women’s ministry of the national organization (Women of the ELCA) and Central State Synod through membership, contributions and participation
     

  • Provide an avenue for involvement, providing opportunities for spiritual growth through prayer groups, guilds, Bible study and other activities that encourage bonds of friendship, mutual support, and the creative exchange of ideas and information.
     

  •  Provide for fellowship with other women of the church and provide an outlet for service to church and community.
