Donations
and Endowments
|
Families may choose to
establish a memorial through the library at the death of a loved one, or
in celebration of important family events such as anniversaries or
birthdays. The library committee will provide a list of needed books or
materials if requested. The committee also maintains an ongoing memorial
fund used for special library projects and acquisitions. Donations of used
books are welcome. If the selections can be used in the library, they are
added to the shelves. The committee also links with social agencies and
mission schools who need books and frequently contributes books to their
patrons. Recent contributions have been made to Sedgwick County Jail and
children’s homes.

Book
Selection
|
Because the church
library is specialized, the adult collection is primarily religious in nature.
There are, however, books, DVDs and videos that deal with issues of social concern,
as well as dealing with other disciplines such as psychology, ethics,
sociology, and selected fiction. The
library has an outstanding collection of books, DVDs and videos for children of
all ages. Requests for
books of interest are happily accepted.
