Christian Education Committee Mission
Remembering our Lord’s
command to teach and make disciples, the Christian Education Committee’s primary
responsibility is to provide opportunities for Christian Education for all
members.
-
This committee shall assist persons to
respond to God’s word as they develop as disciples and relate to others in
personal lives, the work environment, and in their communities.
- Assist pastoral staff in the on-going task of confirmation
ministry
- Promote camp and retreat opportunities of the church
- Provide for the recruitment and equipping of educational leaders
- Review and maintain curriculum (seek the use of appropriate
materials and make certain that adequate study under girds the other
functions of the congregation)
- Promote the reading of appropriate
devotional guides
- Sunday School for
all ages
- Vacation Bible
School
- Midweek programming
- Family nights
(advent, lent, summer, other)
- Library and
Archivist
- Adult education
